New 20mph speed limit comes into force on Kidbrooke Park Road

Transport for London (TfL) has imposed the reduced limit on the A2213 Kidbrooke Park Road, between its junction with Eltham Road and a point 25 metres north of Pegler Square.

The change, applied on Friday, March 20, also covers all GLA Side Roads – Red Route returns connected to this stretch within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The road was previously subject to a 30mph limit.

TfL says the reduction forms part of Phase 3 of its Lowering Speed Limits programme, which aims to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists, particularly around Thomas Tallis School.

TfL formally made the order on March 11, 2026, under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Details of the order and a map of the affected area are available on the Transport for London website, and can also be viewed by appointment at TfL’s offices.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order has six weeks from the date it was made to apply to the High Court.
